India is the only country in world which project living humans as Gods. This weakness has been exploited by all since times immortal including politicians, film stars and religious Gurus. Media leads in image building neithter helps Indian Cricket team nor other sports of equal importance.

This is so true, the team which should do that is Australia not India. Now on Media the Board doesnot have direct influence, but being the richest board its always easy to hire good Media consultants who could use some lobbying to portray the image board wants.
But seems like Indian Board sleeps the whole year & when the team screws up & Media starts breaking these Gods, then they penalize players
