No heat means no magnatron tube or no power to it (internal fuse if there is one). Possilby reparable; but as cheap as they are, probably going to be a replacement if it is the tube; kind of like the picture tube in a TV.

It's most likely problem is a broken magnatron, however it would probably cost more to repair than buying a new cheap microwave, my advise is unless you spent over £150 on the microwave and it is less than 3 years old, to not bother. If it is less than 3 years and it was an expensive microwave than it maybe worth looking into!

The air does not have any effect on cooking the food.
If there is not heating effect, the problem is that there is no microwave radiation being transmitted into the oven.
this is created by the magnetron. Often the mnagnetron is not, itself, at fault, it is the power supply to the magnetron.

it may be repairable, but it should only be done by a qualified electronic technician.

The cold air you are feeling is from the fan i would assume... the only reason it wouldn't be heating food when its turned on is if the magnetron is damaged, but this is a very robust component and wouldn't be expected to fail. place 1 liter of water into a microwave bowl, and microwave on full power for 3 and a half minutes... if it doesn't boil, then assume you need a new microwave (based on a 850W mic. oven). if it does, you don't have a proble,. take care handling the boiling water.

The chance's are the line fuse inside the microwave has blown, cost about £2, but not advisable to mess around with them yourself. If you take it to a repairer then you looking at min £20 labour charge plus parts, so you can see unless you paid in excess of £150 for the appliance and its under 5yrs old, its not worth repairing. Best bet, get yourself down to your local retailer and buy a new one.

Microwaves don't blow hot air.

They release high energy radio waves that cause the water molecules in whatever is in the path of the beam to vibrate more rapidly, which causes an increase in the level of heat in the object from the inside out.

Some higher end microwave ovens do also use convection ("blowing hot air") to help heat the object from the outside in.

In either case, if it is under warranty, take it in. If it's not, take it to a *certified*/licensed small appliance repair shop for an estimate. Unfortunately, in our current "toss it" society, it can cost more to repair something than to buy it new. Example: $1500 security camera with some minor problems...*parts* would have cost $2200.

I'd guess the microwave creating bit (I think it's called the magnatron) has gone. Probably cheaper to buy a new one, you can get them for £30!
