I used to think if I had a band, it would be an all girl band and we'd call ourselves The Beavers, lol.
As to where they come up with their names, who knows? Maybe it was a phrase they heard in a conversation one day, how they would describe their life at the time, one too many puffs and a really deep conversation with a buddy, lol. So many ways to pick a name, but it's better if it has meaning behind it instead of something that just sounds cool.

My own pseudo-band is called Miga Biga. I happen to be living in the Philippines, and 'miga' is short for 'friend', and 'biga-on' means '*****....so we shortened that up as well. We don't really exist, but 'The Greatest Hits of Miga Biga' T-Shirts are being printed up soon.
I seriously think many bands pretty much slap random words together. Maybe there's a 'random name generator' floating out on the web somewhere.

Nafan and The Earfs. I came up with this name at summer camp when I was 12. This kid Nathan always carried a stress ball (in the shape of the earth) around. He couldn't say his "th" sounds so he said it like an "f".
That's probably how other bands come up with their names. Just by some weird thing.

Here are three old-timers from fourth grade:
Joe Banana and His Bunch playing Music with a Peel; or Harry Nostril and His Nine Nosepickers playing Get that Boogie [eeeewwwww]; or, perhaps, Jack Stretch and His Rubber Band playing Sweet Erasable You.

i could call it "Kaitestein". Like Rammstein, in common terms as a replace of 6 huge frightening German men, it would be a million small frightening American Kaite. it would in all probability be a psychedelic/imaginative rock band. some thing like purple Floyd or Black Sabbath. Or i could call it "Kaite and the Kaitettes", and it would be a glam rock/paintings rock David Bowie-kind band. i could come out center point in a blue jumpsuit surrounded by potential of a bunch of chicks wearing black and white stripes, and that that they had be my Kaitettes. Lolz.

I`d call my band The CC .
Band names can be in memory of someone (or something) , or something they like , or just something that came out of a brainstorm I guess . There are many ways to name a band actually ...

Never ever thought of what I'd name a band. I have no desire to be famous and on top of it I cannot sing to save my life or play any instrument. Now that you got me thinking of it I would go for a name like: Vixen
