imdb.com is the place. Change your search to a "keyword" search and type Vikings in the 2nd box. Your results will look like this:
Keywords (Partial Matches) (Displaying 2 Results)
1. the-vikings (176 titles - "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" (1993), ...)
2. minnesota-vikings (4 titles - Super Bowl IX (1975) (TV), ...)
Keywords (Approx Matches) (Displaying 25 Results)
1. viking (216 titles - The 13th Warrior (1999), ...)
2. viking-funeral (3 titles - It Runs in the Family (2003), ...)
3. pre-viking-age (1 title - Prince of Jutland (1994))
4. viking-ship (36 titles - Pathfinder (2007),
Click on the keywords results lines (176 or 216 titles) and try to match the movie up by title, stars, and/or era. You said that it was an old movie you watched in the 80's - how old? 30's? 50's? 60's? Click on anything that looks like it might match, check out the plot, and if it sounds right, click on the stars names to see if you recognize a star's picture.
A bit tedious, but it keeps one off the streets. ;D

You could always just go to yahoo movies, or just yahoo's main page, and type in Viking movie. See what comes up. But, in the 80s, there really wasn't many viking movies made, apart from Erik The Viking, starring Tim Robbins and John Cleese, and directed by Terry Jones.

There was a movie, back the called "The Vikings". I think that Tony Curtis, and Kirk Douglas were in it. Try looking it up under their biographies.

International Move Data Base is very good but you need the name of the film or at least an actor that was in it.
