It ended in true David Chase style, he has always done things the way you least expect. At first I was like "What the F**K! Then I thought about how genius it was. The last like five minutes in the diner scene, with the shady characters lingering around, one walks in with AJ, Meadow with parking troubles in the street, The guy that goes in the bathroom, the guy with the hat in the corner booth. It was pure suspense, I almost couldn't stand it. That's what it must be like for Tony 24/7. Then LIGHTS OUT, it could be over like that, like with Phil Leotardo saying good bye to the Grand kids then BAM, its over. And it leaves us all guessing! Very cool in a tortuous sort of way! Plus it leave it open for a movie. I thought it was brilliant.

It was fade to Black.....good trick Chase.... Great ending...What Will happen next is up to the viewer. If you were a true Sopranos fan you know. If you just watched and really didn't breath eat, and slept Sopranos but jumped on the band wagon with all the press. Than you watch the re-runs on A&E or go buy the DVD Collection Set and re-watch the episodes and see some of the scenes that david chase created were for the ending finale. The cat in the finale watching Christopher now hanging with Paulie. Paulie nine lives are over he too will die. You gotta look at the little scenes not all the killing that is expected with mobs. Great ending CHASE!

At first I thought my dish went out or something happened.
Actually I am not terribly upset I had read he left a lot of things open because that is how life is - and I honestly believe they will do a movie -
I think it's been a brilliant 8 years - I was surprised at the blip of black and no music in the credits but the episode left me thinking at every turn someone in Tony's family was going to die.

No doubt. The whole season sucked. What was the point of the goth kid episode? Waiting till the last second to give AJ a future & Tony finally accepting Meadows? And a DINER? ONION RINGS???

David Chase had to prove that all the people watching the Sopranos were cretins and deserved to have their intelligence insulted. He succeeded. It was a BOMB.

We were like Kelly, we thought our dish went out.....lol...I jumped up to turn on the other T.V. It was an awful ending and I doubt I'll invest much time in another HBO series unless they come back with something to fix what they screwed up last night........

Yes, I would just like to know what happened w/ the bathroom guy. The way he was looking at him led me to think he was going to kill him or them.
