I'm just expressing my opinions so don't chew my head off if you disagree. First of all, I think the judge was a bit harsh considering it was her first offense. I honestly don't think she knew how serious it was to drive with a suspended license. I think her publicist told her not to worry that the worst case scenario would be she'd get a ticket. I think the judge was sick and tired of these little starlets thinking they are above the law and wanted to make an example of her which isn't fair. Yes, she deserved punishment. How about community service? And it was soooo wrong to take her out of jail and give her house arrest and then turn around and make her go back. That was total b.s. Yes, she is a spoiled brat but none of us really know her. I think she has some serious issues with anxiety and stress. Plus, she is obviously an alcholic and maybe even a drug addict and she needs help. Jail won't help. Promises won't either. She needs to go to a rehab that isn't like a spa.

Well meaning people like you are what enables people like her to be people like her.

She was caught for DUI. First offense or not, that is pretty serious. Just ask someone who has lost a loved one or been disabled by a drunk driver.

She got away with probation, a license suspension and a small fine. Second offence: she drove while revoked. When caught she blamed her publicist. Third offence: she was caught driving 70 mph in a 35 mph zone at night with no headlights on while revoked.

Has it ever occurred to you that this is a twenty six year old woman not some child? I don't know her and I don't want to know her. I don't know any of the other inmates in that prison either. I am sure they all have stories to tell and I am sure Paris Hilton's is the least of them.

She is extremely rich. If she wants to spend her life in pure debauchery that is entirely her business. But why doesn't she hire a driver for crying out loud? She and all of those pathetic starlets have no business putting people at risk so they can get drunk, stoned or whatever else they get.

And they certainly do not deserve special consideration when they break the law. Do you know what I saw on the news this morning? Her sister arriving at the prison to vist her. They let her walk right around all the people standing in line waiting to visit inmates. Surely, we don't expect her to wait.

It is unseemly. Shame on Sherff Baca.

Jacob W is right on the money. "Not realizing" that breaking the law leads to consequences is no excuse. Period.

To "not realize" driving with a suspended license is wrong shows that one lacks critical think skills.

To think that money and a good lawyer will prevent you from consequences is foolish.

It's good to see a spoiled brat like her cry for once. Now she sees she is just as human as the rest of us.
