When the ball is hit in the air, it gives a chance for the bowling side to make the batsman out by catching the ball before it hits the ground.
Hence the fielders get excited when they find the ball is hit in the air and shout "catch it"

In the game of cricket the ball should be caught directly from the bat before it hits the ground and hence when the ball goes in the air from the bat everybody shouts in anticipation of a catch and they shout the same and you here the sound "cat sh" that all. But one thing here the supporters of the batsmen shout in dismay whereas the supporters of the fielders shout in glee but both shout the same thing that is the anticipated result of the ball going up into air.

Whenever the ball goes in the air,the bowler shouts 'catch it' because there is a feeling in the heart of each bowler that he may get a wicket. It looks like that he earns a lakh of rupees when he gets a wicket. That's why a bowler shouts 'catch it' whenever the ball goes up in air either it is down the fielder or it is going in the safe area.

they shout catch it.
it's like a reflex thing for everyone who's been playing cricket regularly. in cricket, the sooner you bowl out the batting team, the better the chance of your winning. hence yea, catch it!
it's also a trick to attract everyone's attention so that if by chance any of the fielders didn't see the ball going in the air in the first place, "catch it" will tell them that the ball's in the air and they can quickly, very very quickly, scan for the ball and run after it. they get a slight idea of which direction the ball would be going in by the batsman's stance itself and the direction in which he swung the bat. so catch it, for every fielder means, the ball is in the air...run for it!
and trust me, the batsman's heartbeats stop for the moment :P

When the ball is in the air it gives the fielding side a chance to make the batsman go back to the pavilion. This chance we do not get always maybe once in 90 balls. and when this chance comes the fielders get excited and everyone shouts 'catch it'

The team that is bowling and fielding shouts "Catch it!" because they want one of their fielders to catch the ball before it hits the ground, thus getting that batsman out. It's easier to catch a ball when the unfortunate batsman has hit it up into the air.

The batsman is permitted to knock the ball removed from the stumps if he has no longer already touched the ball along with his bat.So pad and then bat is legal. he's likewise allowed to kick it away,if the ball has touched something formerly, otherwises it could be LBW you're no longer allowed to impede the ball's passage if the fielders are in touch
