Be specific about your question, If you are asking for a fastest passenger car, then its Bugatti Veyron, its a 16 cylinder W-engine machine, has a top speed of 407.5 kmph....

For many years the Summer's Brothers "Goldenrod" was the fastest piston engined wheel driven Car. It held the land speed record many years. I believe it now is in Wally Parks museum in Pomona CA.

That's a good question, but it might be good to refine your question a bit. Do you mean acceleration or top speed. Do you mean on a straight track or on curves too. And also, are you thinking production model or a one of a kind racing machine.
