Wikipedia says:
Tony comes out of hiding to spend time with his family in a restaurant in the last few minutes of the final episode. Several suspicious characters enter and Meadow has trouble parking her car. In the east coast HBO feed, just as Meadow enters the restaurant, Tony looks up and the screen cuts to black for a time before the credits are shown. In the west coast HBO feed, the final shot is of Meadow entering the restaurant before the credits are shown.
Can anyone in the west coast confirm that? Did he die in the east coast and not in the west?

I live in NYC, and I watched the 9PM original showing on Sunday. I absolutely saw Meadow enter the restaurant. I've watched the version most people have seen, and the Meadow-focused ending runs about 5-10 seconds longer.

Additionally, the credits in the Meadow ending scrolled across the screen- they didn't flash as in the Tony ending.

I've heard people who recorded the episode on DVR say that they saw the Meadow ending when they watched the show live on Sunday, but when they went to watch the recorded show, saw the Tony version. It sounds like some David Chase/HBO trickery to me.

At the end of the episode, Tony is meeting his family at a restaurant in Bloomfield, New Jersey. He selects Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'" from the table-side jukebox. Various people enter and Tony looks at each of them. Carmela arrives and then A.J. Meadow is late and has difficulty parallel parking outside. A man walks in and orders coffee at the counter. He seems to look in Tony's direction and walks towards him, going past to the restroom. Finally, Meadow double-parks and rushes across the street, approaching the door. Tony hears the front door open and glances up. The screen then cuts to black. After ten seconds, the credits roll in silence.

My husband is a big fan and was hugely disappointed by the way it ended without giving him the proper closure for the series.

I dunno but it was a huge letdown. All that suspense and no ending.
