Yeah, see, that's the diference between George Bush and Bill Clinton. The American people loved Clinton. Bush's handlers have to take the globe's temperature, so to speak, and find some anti-democracy backwater that is so poor that they are THRILLED to have U.S. attention, and the implied promise of U.S. aid on the way.

The forward looking, socially progressive liberal American majority will stick with Bill, thanks. America didn't need foreign pity or foreign aid while he was president, although friends, we had plenty then. America has to go digging for it's friends now.

--Peace--

He doesn't send THEIR kids off to die in a bogus war, just OURS.
He didn't screw THEIR workers by allowing business in the US to "outsource" it's labor needs.
He doesnt take THEIR tax money to give to his buddies in Big Oil.
He didnt pay Halliburton FIVE BILLION DOLLARS to feed THEIR soldiers rancid food and drinking water contaminated with human dung; just OURS;
He didn't abandon THEIR Constitution, JUST OURS.

"Realgoodfolk" is absolutely right. The media is what gives Bush this bad image. If the media were to tell the ENTIRE truth not just bits and pieces to make him look bad, many would think differently of him. But in a society where the media is the dominant source of information, whatever they think is the whole truth is. So, if Bush didn't have this fake fairytale image, this appreciation for the man we don't see becomes strange, awkward, and unusual to us.

And it really doesn't make sense that there are Americans who are against Bush that harshly. Okay, you don't agree with his decisions. But this man represents America, and with his own country against him, how's he going to do anything? The media's got to keep their distance; with the stories that are coming out today about Bush, it's no wonder the majority of his own country doesn't appreciate him.

And please, please, please...don't get me started on Bill Clinton.

Bush cult members forget that Clinton and NATO deserve the credit. Since the NATO bombing of Serbia, the popularity of the United States - and of Clinton in particular - has skyrocketed. (1999).

Bert T nailed it. These strangers have no reason to hate this guy. No "celeb" ever comes there. They must feel special, for one day out of the last 100 years.
