it fills up, it spins and empty's but it wont wash. it's a hoover automatic 5kg. can you tell me what the problem might be..and no I can't just get another one.. I am broke..

If it won't agitate the drum, perhaps the agitator dogs have worn out.
These're hard rubber-like knobs that contact the underside of the drum to induce that back-and-forth washing motion.

Fairly easily replaced, if that's it.

If the washmotor turn but not the washer,your fanbelt is either loose or broken.if your motor is dead, you must either check if a wire is not cut or you must replace the motor.You dont need a new machine

The main motor is not working it could be a wire terminal clip has come off or the motor has burnt out but you would have noticed a strong smell ~~

might be a timer problem or a transmission problem,how long have ye had it? transmissions usually have long warrantys,have ye checked the agitator to see if the little dogs have stripped out or the drive coupling is striped?
