I like a lot of his films. I like his performances in these:

The Outlaw Josey Wales - his usual gunslinger role, but with humanity, revenge and willingness to start a new life - great movie, underrated
Unforgiven - Great directing and acting
Dirty Harry - good movie, great 'gun' speech
Kelly's Heroes - just because it's one of my favorite war flicks
A Fistful of Dollars - it's all about Clint

Unforgiven. It's one of the few western films I enjoy due to Eastwood's acting. I like Gene Hackman and Morgan Freeman as well.

Recently? Grand Torino Mid Career? The FIRST dirty harry. Early Western? The one where he is the Ghost Preacher who cleans up the town. (forget the name) But a guy like Eastwood who has been in a hundred movies, how do you pick A favorite?

It's gotta be The Good, The Bad & The Ugly for me. Probably THE best western and described by Tarantino as "cinematically perfect".

The original Dirty Harry: great story, first portrayal of a serial killer as evil and didn't try to 'understand' him. Shows up the liberalistas for what they are: good at surrendering, then quick to take credit when someone who really cares for ordinary people sorts their mess out.

Hang them high, and all his other westerns. Next would be the "Dirty Harry" series.
