I see some people assume this is some sort of protest. I have attended several flag burnings. We usually have two a year here in town. It is always a very dignified event. A dozen or more Boy Scouts burning flags for people. It is a public service rendered by the troops, disposing of worn out flags.

Unfortunately, burning the United States flag is considered "speech" and protected under the 1st Amendment. This is such a tired, old stunt, what a shame your moronic friends can not come up with something a bit more original. I mean, geeze, they were doing this in the 1960's!

They can be arrested here. Most of the time you are not allowed to light a fire without a permit.... bushfire dangers .... you know... there are ways to get at these morons that burn flags..
