We are the cause of the experience we need to let go of. Since we can only experience what we believe is true or possible and most of it is at the subconscious or unconscious level, it is a tricky proposition. We must "go vertical" and become the Observer/Seer of the entire thought system to detach from it or transcend it.
Then we can "just let go" and BE.

i think we do learn
we just dont
or maybe every time you have to let go you have to learn all over again because its a different thing to let go of

A lot of people, like myself, hang on to anxieties and worries sort of out of habit. With me it's almost gotten to the point that I'm more comfortable clinging to the tension than letting go of it. Help me. Love.

Very Dear Sara E :
wow! I truly love the depth of Your questions sometimes, this time I will star Your question...
My best answer is that human nature makes Us want / wish for Eternity... We are so much worried by Our own frailty and aware life is way too short for many of us that We many times embrace ideas, people or values so strong trying to make them last forever, probably even to survive after We leave.
Good Luck! Bear hugs! ;-)

Sometimes we just don't learn the first, second and third time. And somehow, we think the outcome will be different?
Already? Let go...hmmm...exhale and get on with your great life.

Cause we live in a society trained by the media not to. We must all FORGIVE to let it go and move on.

because to let go means to give up on something you worked really hard for. most people cannot deal with that nor can they adapt to change. I'm one of those people but I'm changing.

Because some people are jerks and hang onto us. How can we let go of something that's constantly digging under our skin?
(I like that because it works both literally and metaphorically.)

because we have grown up learning that we should keep what belongs to us and dont take what is not ours, even though we really want to keep. plus there is the fear of being alone.

You can't just learn to let go.
Somebody has to pull your finger.
I thought everybody knew that.
