Yes and yes.
I find that driving a manual transmission gives more of a visceral feel to driving ... I am an active participant in the operation of the machine, instead of just "conning" the thing with the wheel and brake.
It requires a bit more awareness of performance, but it is enjoyable.

Yes, I can drive a stick. In fact, my bike is a manual shift.
Do I like to? NO! Both my truck and car have automatics.
WHY?
Because, out here in California, the traffic is SSSOOOO bad, that sometimes, the fastest speed I can attain is in my driveway.
Out on the freeways sometimes, it's, have you ever heard of STOP AND GO traffic?

been able to drive a stick since i was little it was the one thing my dad taught me before he passed away. i love driving a stick it's fun making the tires chrip in all gears

i also have only driven stick shift cars. when i am behind an automatic i sometimes forget that i don't need to shift.
