Hi! I was using msn and i received a message from one of my contacts "is that you on this photo?" and an adress right next to it, i think "www.ratethisface.com/photo26". DON'T TRY IT! So i clicked and i saved the file that appeared and msn got crazy! It was sending to all of my contacts the same message and I couldn't stop it! Then I found the file and erased it but since then, everytime i open msn, most of the times it gets crazy again and an icon named "spee" appears on the desktop. In its properties it says "description:msn messenger" but its not msn. What should I do? HELP PLEASE!!!

This is a nasty one doing the rounds right now. You need to try MsnVirRem.exe - extract the exe file from the zip and run it and see if it finds any infected files.

Then download ftp://ftp.drweb.com/pub/drweb/cureit/cureit.exe

Then open the CUREIT file and choose update. It will download a new version of the file. When you open it, it does a small scan, but you need to go into the settings and get it to scan the whole hard drive - it takes a long time (an hour or two) but it's thorough. Handy if other AV's or spyware is foobarred.

Good luck :)

Download Ad-Aware and install it using this link.
http://www.download.com/3000-2144-10045910.html

Unplug yourself from the Internet. Run the "Full System Scan" and remove all the things it finds. After that, reboot, and run the scan again. Then remove whatever is found.

If that doesn't solve your problem, try download and installing MSN again.

Install "AVG free install"

http://free.grisoft.com/doc/5390/lng/us/tpl/v5#avg-anti-virus-free

It is an Antvirus tool and is very good. It has real-time checking for viruses (that means every second) and doesnt use lots of computer resources (processor time, RAM memory) -> You can do everything on your computer without long waiting to respond. After Installation of antivirus, scan your computer with "AVG free" for viruses.

OR DO NEXT (IF AVG free will not have effect):

IF you are USING "C:\" as your main partition ->
Turn of ALL your internet activites and then go C:\Documents and Settings\"Your Accout"\Cookies and try to delete all files you have in that directory. Also delete files in directory: 'C:\Documents and Settings\"Your Account"\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files' and in 'C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Temp'. Try to rename that ICON and then delete that ICON.

P.S: I didnt have experience with that problem but I have similar one with one trojan horse so try it maybe this will help you.
