i don't know how you say a team deserves an easy win or not and i also don't really know how they make the schedules. every big league team is capable of beating every other big league team and you kinda saw it as pirates gave clemens and the yanks a run for their, haha, MONEY. i'm not an all out yankees basher...but i'd pick the other team over most teams they play honestly. but anyways, the rocket pretty much barely but the pirates, and the unit beat the bo sox!

First of all, ask MLB. The schedule was made before the season so they did not just slide it in there so the Yankees could win. Stop being a Yankee hater.

It's called inter league games. Every year they rotate their schedules so one year the American east teams will play the National West teams. So they gave their fans a chance to see teams that they have seldom played or seen.

This is why I hate interleague play because it makes the schedule unbalanced. Oh well...even if the Yankees get handed some easy ones they still don't have what it takes to get the division!

Because it's interleague time. The Yanks played the Pirates friday, saturday and sunday and they're going to play the D-backs on tuesday, wednesday, and thursday. And i'm going to the game on Tuesday against the D-backs and i went to the game against the Pirates on saturday....and they kick some pirate booty...lol. YANKEES ROCK!! GO YANKEES!! =)

The Yankees have interleague play throughout the season. Like on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday they play the Diamondbacks.

Because, with there early struggles, they needed to play a team they can easily beat. This will get the Yankee fans arrogant and cocky again, for a bit, until they start playing real teams again and their losing continues...
