I'm working toward a BSBA right now, and I'm thinking about concentrating in Finance. I've heard that for a finance mba, though, a lot of math is needed. I was wondering if a math minor would be good prep.

It's a good idea if you like math and are good at it. Can't go wrong. Just note that finance at the business undergrad level isn't very complex with respect to mathematics. But if you're considering financial engineering, financial modeling, or any quant-fin topic (you usually have to go to a grad school program) then having a background in higher level mathematics is mandatory.

Dear One
To take finance MBA basic arithmetic & business mathematics knowledge is very important.Advanced Financial Management subjects covers mathematical models in one of the subjects called financial engineering. Knowledge of indices, logarithams, boolian algebra, simultaneous equation, Linear programming, surds, differntial & integral calculus ,limits, etc can equip you to understand advanced finance subjects.one will be more confident to study than the one not studied.Besides one should have good understanding of financial accounting as well as costing (knowledge of tax management is essential but is managable if tax paper is not included in the course).
One can check up whether the above specified(Essentially business mathematics) subjects are included in the course studied. Business mathematics knowledge is very essential.
Best wishes
