For us to focus on our life, we need to answer to this questions. Life is full of unexpectation, that is why we need to know.

What makes you think that I or anybody else for that matter wants to know? It's bad enough trying to get through each day and wanting to know how to get enough security to not have to worry about the future, without wanting to know just why the hell I'm doing it but,so far it seems I am here to make my employer even richer and to pay enough taxes,to keep the next load of refugees in the manner in which they have heard it will be.

there is no meaning of life this is how it works -

you are born, go to school which you hate doing, go to work which you hate doing, get a house and a car, get in debt, get married (90% of the people get divorced after that), have kids who have absolutely no respect for you, you retire, have hardly any pension to live off and if you dont die of cold cos youre too frightened to turn your heaters on, you spend a while in an old folks home, where you are treated like crap, pee in your pants, hate the food, get strapped to the bed, dribble, have no visitors and then you kick the bucket...

whats so good about that and where in that is the meanin of life lol

Some people will answer that they don't want to know. Although they may tell you they don't search for meaning, they live their lives as if they are searching for the answer. If you ask them in some unguarded moment what is their purpose in life, many will answer "to make the world a better place" or "to make a difference" or "to help people who are less fortunate", etc. Those answers indicate that they are looking for meaning for their lives.

We have to have meaning for our lives to have worth and the need for worth is built into our human character. If we are created beings, then that need was put there by our Creator to urge us to seek Him. If our Creator does not exist, then that need was put there by mindless evolution which forces us to search for something that isn't there.

You are theoretical creatures...

Because you cannot live life as it is...

You feel you cannot even breathe till your teacher or priest or God teaches you how to breath...

All this is common to persons who have paper weights on their shoulders in place of brain!!!!

I don't. So that's very presumptious of you. It's hard enough getting through it without worrying about it's meaning. We arrive, we breed, we die
