Ok, According to my calander, period isn't due for another week. Today is Monday (I'm in Australia) on Friday night I started having light pink mucousy discharge, nothing too major, didn't need tampon or pad. Continued through Saturday, went away yesterday but came back that night. Has been on and off today, at times a little darker than pink, but never red, and doesn't look like blood per say. Still no actuall need for tampon or full on pad. (just liner for hygeine)

So, Could this be implantation bleeding (pregnancy) or am I just having a strange period?? I am like clockwork, and usually have heavy ones. Only time I've missed was both times I was pregnant with my kids.

Thank you for your help.

Yep have had bloating, feeling of fullness low down, excrutiating pain when ovulating (although not the last 2 months) for about 6-8 months now, just thought i was having bad periods as I was like this before having kids.

I'm trying to saty positive, while I didn't want a 3rd child I hope that is what it is as that's a blessing, I can't wait for my Dr appt as I am really worried now.

While it's unlikely, you may have an infection of the cervix or tissue surrounding it. You should have noticed other symptoms, however that doesn't mean that it's not an infection or a virus. Remember not all infections/viruses you contract are STD's just because they are associated with your genitals. Also you may have suffered minor tears or lacerations if you have been drier than normal especially during sex and this may be the cause of the pink discharge, the minuet amount of blood mixed with your normal discharge can look like something else. Don't get worked up about pregnancy or other possibilities because stress may cause your period to be delayed then you'll certainly have a hard time figuring it out. Seek a trained medical professional and lean on your husband for support until you are able to get an appointment. Good luck, I wish the best for you no matter the outcome.

If you're like clockwork, you'll know in a week anyway. It's too soon now for a pregnancy test.

Some yeast infections (esp. Trichomoniasis--which is not technically a yeast but a protozoan) also cause the same kind of discharge. Trichomoniasis is not serious but it does need to be treated, both partners, even when symptoms disappear, otherwise you'll just keep passing it back & forth to each other.

Edit: read your addition... don't worry about the big C... cervical cancer takes about 10 years to develop from positive pap smear to cancer, so if you were clear 2 months ago that is really, really not a possibility. Ovarian cancer tends to produce a constellation of vague symptoms (bloating, changes in bowel or urinary habits, vague discomfort or pressure in the abdomen), so unless you've been experiencing these fairly continually for some time, chances are you are perfectly fine.

Definitely consider implantation bleeding - sounds right (light flow, light color). But unfortunately there are plenty of diseases out there that can create the same effect. It may be nothing, it may be pregnancy it could be something else. You deserve not to worry, treat yourself to a doctor's visit and get to the bottom of it.

Stay positive. You just passed a physical, so it's highly unlikely it's something scary. Take a HPT, maybe it will settle your mind. A third child could be a blessing from above.
