The McCanns may have made a reprehensible mistake by letting their children alone in an hotel room.

But I think they are admirable in their efforts to find their eldest daughter.

Rome, Spain, Germany, Netherlands and now Morroco.

I'm sure they won't let their two younger children alone ever again, and if they ever happened to find Madeleine they would love her even more, and would be overprotective over her until she was at least 60 or until they died.

i think it is in a way but as a mum i think you would walk to the end of the earth for your children ,its your duty as a parent to protect and love your kids ,so i think any one would do the same and i hope they find her its terrible i couldnt imagine what theyre going through but in a way i expect more parents will watch there kids and may be look after them more after knowing how easy it is for them to vanish without a trace!i also think your right her prents will be over protective and not let the others out of thyeir sight.

Well lets answer just the part about being overprotective towards the twins...clearly they do not fear for the twins because they are leaving them behind often while they are traveling. Yes family members are there and they are using daycare but even though my mom and mom in law are the 2 people that are only allowed to babysit for me I still would be so upset I would not leave them. There is no reason mom cannot stay beind in Portugal and Dad go on the trips. So no they are not becoming overprotective of the twins because they are leaving them with others often right now.

You mean something along the lines of after the horse has bolted stuff.
You know I don't think they will change their attitude at all and I hope as a Doctor Kate McCann never works again especially with children, she is unfit as a mother and as a Doctor!

I really don't understand what them visiting other countries will achieve. All they are interested in is getting as much money out of the public as possible, and meeting famous people. It's almost like they have forgotten about Madeleine. They definitly seem to have persuaded themselves that they are in no way responsible.

Their persistence is understandable. Any parent would understand them not giving up. Its not nothing to do with the places they've visited...that, i believe, is a screen, to enable their PI conduct a thorough media-free investigation & of course to create awareness about Madeleine. Um...yes, am sure they would be over-protective of their babies in future which of course they will get slagged for.

Haven't you been reading the articles? They left the twins with their aunt and uncle while they are globetrotting on their 'campaign'. One would think in the light of the event they would want the twins with them 24/7?. I think you should re-read some of the articles.
