The Greek territory comprises 6,000 islands and islets scattered in the Aegean and Ionian Sea, a truly unique phenomenon on the European continent; of these islands only 227 are inhabited.

Greece is not made up by islands, it has a big mainland surrounded by islands, which are a few thousand, but only some of them are inhabited.

Over 6,000 islands and 15,000-km of coast line.
The southernmost island is Gavdopoula (south of Crete) and the most southern part of Europe.
About 300 islands are inhabited. -depends on your definition of "inhabited". There are a lot of private islands
