I had a teacher tell me I needed to learn to control my temper. I never lost my temper for no reason, but it was not a pretty thing when I did. He told me learning to control it when I was young was going to be easier for me than waiting until I was an adult..and would probably keep me out of jail. He didn't deliver it as a lecture, as much as from concern. I listened. I got my temper under control before I ended up in jail.
