Kumble was successful against all countries except Australia.
Warne,successful against all countries except India & Australia.
Though in a way you are correct Warne has better records over all

Shane Warne got550wickets much before Kumble got 550 wickets. Kumble got 552 wickets in 115 test matches and Shane Warne got 708 wickets from 145 test matches.

Kumble and warne has no comparison.Warne is great.U c how he traps the batsmen even if he is to bowl before aussies the result wont be so different.

Kumble is not a spin bowler he is slow medium bowler.. he is lightly slower than venkatesh prasad, in fact at times venkatesh prasad bowled better off cutters.
So dont compare him with shane warne.
Kumble is in a league of its own , legends are born once in a century and he is one of them. For last 10 years the kind of fame he has got for India is credible and very few selfless cricketers like him. the only one I can see now is rahul dravid and before these two kapil dev
