I'd say fading away would be alot more tense and soul - destroying on who you are, atleast if you burn out, you'd still be the same person and you wouldnt change for anyone or anything. It shows more strength, than the fade away of weakness.

wo totally deep ^_^ lol

Kurt Cobain thought it was, but he didn't really do either, he sort of dripped down the wall behind him....

Actually, and in all seriousness, yes it probably is if you are purely interested in the context of the legend you leave behind. Take for instance those who went out at the top - Bruce Lee, Freddy Mercury, Buddy Holly, James Dean etc. now compare them to the fallen greats of our modern age - Ozzy Osbourne (the man is a shambles), Michael Jackson (famous for the wrong reasons), and it should be clear the important difference.

Oh tell you what, even easier - compare John Lennon with Paul McCartney, that is it in a nutshell.

Depends on the situation...for a musician, it can be better to burn out because it's quick and makes it easier to make a comeback because people want to know what happened. If you're talking death, I'd probably rather burn out too. So I guess burn out.

Well I'd hate to slowly burn to death so I'd prefer to fade away quickly.
