Not this war, but I was in Operation Desert Storm, Persian Gulf War 1990-91.

not Iraq, but my grandfather was a War World II veteran and he just passed away 6 months ago. But my friends cousin was in the Battle of Volusia* (In Iraqand I think I spelled it wrong)

My dad has done 2 tours in Iraq. My stepmom has done 1 tour. My oldest brother has been twice. My little brother is deploying in September. My best friend just deployed in May.
It's like a family affair... I just stay here and keep the prayer going.

I am so sorry your cousin is over there. We have a friend whose brother was sent over 1 year ago April. He is married and has young children. One of the kids
I know from a former church is over there now but I don't know the other's name
yet. My heart aches for everyone who has someone over there. God bless you.

an old friend of mine's dad was fighting there but then they came home. I will be praying for your cousin.

yes i do , i have 3 friends at the war. and 2 that are preparing 2 go =[.. and unfortunately i already lost one friend in battle =[ .
My boyfriend wanted to join the army aswell but i convinced him not to bc i love him way too much, and i could not stand having him at the war wondering what is happening like i am w/ my friends right now. we want 2 get married and have a family in the future and i didnt want to loose him.
I HATE THIS WAR!!

I have a few friends in the military, but most of them have been sent to other areas of the world. And the one who was in Iraq is home now. I got lucky with that.

No. None of my family believe in war and we don't enlist in the army. I don't know of any friends who have enlisted in the army. This is not to say that those soldiers overseas don't deserve out utmost respect.

Yes, Many of my family women and men. Now some of them are retired but thru worldwar two , then vietnam,then korean war,and where-ever there occured any dissention, until now in many of the middle east countries. and they deserve all our prayers and remembrance for their bravery and courage.
