I received an e-mail that a mother had found $71,000 in her 15-year old son's closet. She later found out that he made the money from the internet selling reports. The e-mail also stated that it was discussed on Oprah and 20/20, but I can't seem to find it. I was wandering if you could let me know if the e-mail was a scam or indeed true?

Thanks in advance,

Morella Jones

The easiest way to find out if an email is a scam, is to copy the first sentence or two of the email and paste it into google with quotation marks around the portion you copied.

That will bring up any internet listing that discusses the email you are asking about.

From there you can find out more information.

Or you can search it on http://www.snopes.com That is a site dedicated to debunking this type of stuff.
