There are other methods.
The easiest is to find someone who is an expert at using Photoshop (or a similar graphics package), give them a high-quality digital image of your car, and get them to change the colour of the bodywork in the photo until you find a colour you like. It might be best to try a few photgraphs, taken in under different lighting conditions and from different angles, just to make sure.
A more difficult and expensive way would be to use Di-noc (http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3M/en_GB/GraphicSolutions/Home/ProdInfo/DINOCSelector ). This is what car design studios use to quickly make clay models look like finished painted vehicles for management review, and is a coloured film that is applied to the car.

respraying your car is no easy task, if you want hte paint to last for more than a few years. u must sand down to primer or metal, spray primer, primer sealer, the paint in the flash time, and spray clear, buff and wax. you also need a positive pressure paint booth or else dust and dog hairs/etc will destroy your paint job. the color only changes from what it appears to be if your car's color is drastically different from the color you want to spray (ie, if your car is brown, you shouldnt spray yellow or orange over it, without sanding all the paint off). Also, car paint costs a lot of money, so you shouldnt waste your money spraying your entire car covered in film.

Heeelarious!
Perhaps you can find that sticky paper that is used to line cupboard shelves in a colour you like and just cover the car with that.
