Whats the point of The Sun heralding its campaign of putting up posters of 'Find Madeleine' everywhere in Morocco when hardly any bugger is going to be able to read what the case is about since its all in English.
Surely having the posters in Arabic might have made a wee bit more sense.

Faith - The Sun has pictures of their poster, and on it in big writing is
Find Madeleine
The last time I checked, Find was not a work in French, and the last time I looked none of the letters you read here appear in Arabic at all.
So yeah Im pretty sure when it comes to The Suns campaign, that im spot on.
Shame on you for thinking I hadnt done my homework.

Arabic or French would be the languages to use in Morocco.
But I think this whole thing is going well OTT.
Kids have gone missing since Madeleine, but has a fuss been made about them, have their parents gone on world tours while leaving other children at home ........... OF COURSE NOT

Actually, most Moroccans in the cities where the posters are being put up CAN read that much English. First of all, urban Moroccans (and many rural as well) are just as accustomed to the Latin alphabet as the Arabic one, due to knowing French from a young age. Second, "Madeleine" is a name which is better written in Latin script than Arabic, and "find" is the infinitive form of the English verb, thus not difficult to understand.
AND...tourists to Morocco most likely cannot read Arabic, and given that the first person to report the Madeleine sighting was Norwegian, it makes sense to use either French or English as opposed to Arabic.
Maybe it would've made more sense to write it in French, but not Arabic.

Most Moroccans will be able to read the words "Find Madeleine'. Likely not people who never leave the village but surely most city dwellers can read these two words. If they can not the issue has been covered on the news a bit and I am sure many people know the case and can figure out what the poster is about.
Of course Arabic or French would of made more sense.

Yeah, it doesn't seem to make much sense but Moroccans are learning English now more than French (although it is still the 'second language'). And I am sure they would have seen something about her on the news...besides....if they saw a flier everywhere with a kids pick on it I am sure they would ask somebody what it was about. PPL in Morocco are very observant of these things...in America most ppl don't even walk outside more than they would need to get to their cars. Even those that do walk outside are in sooooooo much of a hury. There are cultural differences to consider.

So a Norwegian woman spotted the girl just 6 days after the disappearance, she only lives near Malaga in southern Spain, but I would have gone to Morocco the next day to do my searching and not left it until some weeks later, wouldn`t you ??

The posters should be in Arabic and French, although it seems a bit late now to worry about it.

everything the mccann's do or say is very strange. they should have been in morocco as soon as they got news of the possible sighting as oppose to 3.5 weeks later. where's the logic in that? unless the mccann's know something we all do not know about.

These days you can learn how to speak Arabic over the internet. Check out this online course, it's voted as the best Arabic online course of all time: http://www.rocketlearner.com/arabic The course is very easy to follow, I was able to learn Arabic in just 3 months.
I live in New York City, I wanted to go to a Arabic language teacher but that would have cost me over $800 per month. Good thing with this internet, $800 it's a lot of money for me.
