my sister has a hair, just 1 hair, that insists on growing on her chin, in the same place about every 2 weeks. She will pull it out (all the way to the root) and yet it comes back. This hair has been growing for the past 2 years. She is 41.

Wow! I had no idea it was so common!

I guess I can look forward to one day having hair on my chinny-chin-chin too....sigh.....

Yes, I've actually got 3 now...one for every kid I think, lol! I didn't start getting them until the kids came along. I've got a dark one that grows on my belly ,too. Pluck, Pluck, Pluck and they always come back. I'm 29.

Totally normal. As you get older you get hormonal changes. Because of these changes, women will start to grow dark, coarse hair on their face.

Plucking or waxing become the norm for women in these cases.

oh my GOSH!!!!!!!!! I get that hair too. Im an african american and my one hair is blonde it grows on my cheek I havent had one in a while. But i think it has something to do with hormones, like birth control because now i dont get them anymore. That weird huh?

I get hairs on my chin as well as under them because of the hormone imbalance I have going on.

It's very possible that she may be showing signs of menopause so I would recommend that she consult her dr to see what they think.
