I think most people think the same way. Morocco would've been the first place I would've gone to if it had been me, it just doesn't make sense but then, most of the handling of this whole affair hasn't made any sense either - from leaving Madeleine and the twins home alone, to conducting the press, Team McCann etc etc At best, I think they are very strange people, at worst - well I don't even want to think about it yet.

Exactly what I have been saying! I have just got to add that apparently (according to Friends who know Morocco very well) there are only 2 main roads out of there with petrol stations. But obviously there were better things to do at the time.
Faith as far as I know the McCanns have refused to hire private investigators. Nice thought tho

They had book the flights in advance, they couldn’t just rearrange it all because their child happen to go ‘missing’, you’re not suggesting they were to actually go out of their way for their child!?
In all seriousness, this is what I was thinking this morning, there is no sense to it.
If I had heard of a sighting, regardless of how religious I was, sod the Pope, I’m going to Morocco to find my child. The Pope for all his weight in ‘gold’ can wait. This sighting was heard a couple of days after she had gone missing, and now it is a month since she has been gone.
What are they expecting to find in Morocco? Sun? Any more religious places there?

I was amazed that they didn't take off to Morocco as soon as news of the possible siting was published. It was, after all, the only lead that there was. A serious attempt to find Madeleine doesn't seem to be a priority.

But they always wanted to go to Rome and see the Vatican. Madeliene can wait according to them. I know if it was my child I would be going everywhere at a minutes notice that there was even a glimpse of someone. Not acting like I was on holiday.
Its funny to start off with I thought they werent going to leave Portugal without Madeliene

I don't understand what they think going to all these counties will achieve. Surely that is what the police are for? The McCanns are not exactly running around knocking on doors while they're there.

It was strange, if that was me, Morocco would be where i was headed. No contrary advice from anyone would have stopped me. Surely its a normal parental response, If you think there's even a remote chance she's there?

it might not have been a strong enough lead at them time in their opinion. its weird because Gerry said its very easy for people to get from Portugal to Morocco so i thought why didn't you go there first instead of swanning off to the pope who lets face it that hasn't worked. then again does anything the mccanns do suprise us anymore.
