Yes, and what makes it worse, we are borrowing money from China to finance this war. We will be in debt to them for generations. I really think it's wrong for us to be indebted to China for any reason.

Hi, i take it your from US. Yeah I think they're not only losing a lot of money, but WASTING a lot of money. Those middle easterners won't change, they've been fighting all their lives and as you can see, even under the mighty weight of the US, they are still flourishing in vioence. They're like a cancer that the more you agrevate it, the worse it gets, they need to be left alone. Are you sick of the petrol prices over there? We are here in australia, and I think everyone is in the world, we cant say a highly unstable middle east has nothing to do with that. Lets face it, foreign engineers and professionals working in the oil industries in the middle east need protection, and even the bodyguards are earning up to several hundred US dollard per day ( approx) and the workers themselves can be paid around $1000 per day! thats a lot of Big Macs! Unfortunatley governements tend to stick with their decisions even when theyre the wrong ones, and that happens world wide. I would say they would be spending about $1billion a day there and if you think thats exaggerating, you think of the fuel for all the tanks, the air force, the ships and feeding 50,000 people 3 times a day. Yeah we need to get out of there, can you imagine being a civilian? that'd be real hard, you couldnt even buy vegies without a proper farewell, coz u might not come back! Anyway see ya later.

Yes we are losing money on war like the one in Iraq . I think that this money can be used for other constructive purposes like education but till people who are war monggers are there there can be no end to this money wasting play.

Not only losing money, but losing lives too...
It cost more to replace a dead soldier than some armored units, and I don't even talk about the injured ones... ANd it seems that the US gov, even try to save money on those, by leaving military hospitals in deep needs...

War normally strengthens an already stong economy, or stands to revitalise one in the midst of a depression.
But obviously a poor country only gets worse.
Basically, war only makes the rich richer.

oh yes . one fifth of our budget is spent on defense. and honestly, do you see any progress in Iraq? if anything, violence is increasing. imagine if we stop the war, take our 1/5 of the budget and put it into health care or education or environmental policy. that would be making a difference without harming anyone.

We are USING a lot of money on the war but that is ultimately not as important as LOSING our way of life/our country/our lives because of the terrorists and nuclear bombs that threaten us.
