I can help you with 3. See the straight line that goes through? You have 130 degrees + Angle four. Straight lines have an angle measure of 180. So it's 50 degrees as the answer. =)

4.
Vertical angles are in the middle of the x. Break an X in half (Slice it horizontally and you have your angles. Just do it vertically and horizontally on this assignment. You will see that All of them are vertical, meaning that WXV, YXZ, WXY, and VXZ are vertical angles).

5. A triangle always equals 180 degrees (that is, all angles add up to 180.). Add those angles up, and subtract them from 180. You have your answer.

Sorry I can't help for one. I'm kind of tired (middle of the night here). I can only tell you that it isn't. The percent of increase is 100% for 40 to 80 (meaning you get 100% of forty), and 50% (meaning you get half of what you get from 80 to 40).

Hope I helped. :/

1. Rate of increase from 40-80% is 100% (you are basically doubling it.) From 80% to 40%, it is only a 50% drop (cutting it in half) because if you took all of 80% away, you have zero.
With a calculator enter the number 40 +100+% key=80% ;
then for the other , enter 80-100+%=0 (in other words 100% of 80=80), whereas 80-50+%=40 (80-40=40).

4. Remembering similar puzzles I've done like this, the angles are WXV, WXY, YXZ, & VXZ. Why they said there are only 2 is beyond me because in my puzzles, you have to connect all 3 points. Since X is the center point, it has to be put in the letter combinations.

Hope this helps. I'm not too good at figuring angles, etc. because algebra/geometry are not my strong suits. LOL

For Question 1:
Draw a magic table:
For 40 to 80
100 x
Cross multiply:
x=(100x80) ÷ 40 = 200
So this is a 100 % change

For 80 to 40
100 x
Cross Multiply
x=(40x100) ÷ 80 = 50 % change

So they are not the same.

For Question 3:
Angle 4 would be 180 degrees - 130 degrees (angles on a staright line add up to 180) so the answer would be 50 degrees

For Question 4:
Angles WXY, WXV, ZXY and VXZ are vertical angles.
Check this, it is similar to your question: http://www.mathopenref.com/anglesvertical.html

For Question 5:
Just do 180 - (34 + 34) i.e there are 180 degrees in a triangle so the answer is 112 degrees.

1. this is kinda guessing
80 x .5 (80 x 50%, decreasing)= 40 but 1.5 (increasing by 50%)x 40= 60 , which isn;t the answer given

3. a line ALWAYS equals 180. so the line that angle 4 is on would be 180-130= 50 degrees

4. i guess go look up what a vertical angle is

5. a triangle's 3 sides always equal 180, so 180-34-34= 112 degrees.

hope i taught ya something, math sux =)
