Good question. There is a new book called "The 5 minute face" by Carmindy - the makeup artist on the tv show What not to Wear which is really good. I just ordered the book off of Amazon, but you can probably get it anywhere. It's really straightforward. I also recommend that you visit a local makeup counter at the mall; you'll need to visit a few times before finding a makeup artist that really knows your style, but you'll find one who will be patient and teach you how to pick colors, apply them, etc. Good luck!

How to get gorgeous eyes is you apply a medium eye shadow across your whole eyelid, then get a dark colour and apply it on the eye socket line and blend. This is my favourite trick!
