And if he is that's ok, but I like him, so I'd prefer it if he were heterosexual. He hangs out with a bunch of guys which is completely normal and a bunch of lesbians, which is cool too. He always tell me that he's never asked anyone out. If he dates a woman, she always makes the first move. He also told me that he wasnt too picky about who he was in a relationship with as long as he's in a relationship. He tells me this on a daily basis, so of course I think that he tells me this cause he's picked up on the fact that I like him and he may want me to ask him out, but then again I think that I am sometimes delusional. What should I do? Is he possibly interested or is he gay and trying to come out to me?

Dont assume. If you have your own reasons to doubt, that's fine. If you feel uncomfortable being upfront and asking him, why dont you come up with a topic and discuss his point of view about gays? Dont give him your opinion, just try to find out what he thinks about it. Ask him if it's right for a gay guy to date a woman. Before he asks you why you're asking all these, tell him you saw an article online or in the magazine, or maybe discussing this with a friend, so that he doesnt feel that the discussion is targeted at him. If he has dated women it doesnt make him gay. But it doesnt mean he's not bi-sexual either. fyi, i was stuck in a situation like that back when i was in theatre, and I used the same approach, so i'm sharing this with you from my own experience.lol. I got to know that he is infact straight. He just has a soft corner which he inherited from his mom and sis. If you need to share more, do email me. - Jessie, counsellor (silverlininghope@yahoo.com)

If he constantly tells you he has dated women, then he's probably not trying to give you the impression he is gay. Stop worrying about being delusional and trust your judgment.
And don't follow Maddie's bad advice about polling his male buddies. With the rampant homophobia in our culture, it's ridiculous to expect an honest answer from third parties. It's also foolish to listen to speculation on the subject by uninformed people.

I'm sorry, if he's told you that he is not too picky about who he is in a relationship with, as long as he is in one .. then, in my opinion .. he's a loser. Relationships ARE about caring!

How about you just ask him? Sheesh! Don't wait around--just ask if he's interested instead of spending all this time writing a big paragraph talking about how uncertain you are? It's easy to settle--so settle it. :P

just tell him how you feel or if your worried about that then talk to one of his mates about it and see what they think about whether he's gay or not. they will probably know if he hangs around them alot and will be able to see by the way he acts with them. its your choice.

my advise ... ask him! Really its the only way to tell if he is into you or if he isn't or if he's gay.
