A pregnancy test can show a positive result up to 5 days before your missed period, however a test that shows a negative result may not be accurate and you'll need to retest after the first day of your missed period to confirm the results. If you are trying not to concieve be sure to either protect yourself every time or only participate in intercourse when you know you are not ovulating. You can only become pregnant in a 24 hour window each month HOWEVER sperm can live inside your body for up to one week and can cause pregnancy. Taking large doses of vitamin C has been rumored to prevent unintended pregnancy, but I don't know that I would trust that as it has not been proven. Wether you are pregnant or not don't over look an herbal store as a good resource for information and alternative ways of staying healthy, just don't think of them as the one correct answer either. Good luck.

The pregnancy tests measure for certain hormones in your body, and everybody has a different body. Some tests are actually more sensitive than others, but it really depends on your body how soon the hormones change or show up.
I can tell about 2 or 3 days after I have conceived that I have, because I have immediate changes in how I feel, but the hormones still don't up until 2 weeks after I've missed my period. With my first, it didn't show up until 3 weeks after a missed period, and that was when I was regular as clockwork, every 30 days exactly...
Chances are, it won't show up until after you've missed.
Just remember, stress can throw off your body too.
And if you aren't pregnant, you should know that pulling out isn't necessarily a safeguard to getting pregnant--sperm can be released during sex before he climaxes without knowing it, as I understand it.
Also, are you having any symptoms? It's too early for some women to tell, but if you are like me, you have some already.
Chances are, you're just going to have to wait, you can't rush mother nature...

Calm down, sometimes stress can cause a delay in your period. There is always a chance, but it doesn't seem likely that you are pregnant. I had a blood test 3 weeks after I concieved and it was possitive. Since you are not regular it may need more time to show a result. Just talk with your doctor, and I hope all goes well.

First I hate to say it but, Why are you have unprotected sex if you don't want a baby? Just go to the doctor if you're that worried, I think blood tests show sooner. Otherwise you have to wait. The over the counter stuff has one that tells you one day after missed period.
Oh yeah, I just saw that commercial about the new one that says your results before your missed period.

The home tests are just as sensitive as the blood tests, and in fact most docs don't do a blood test initially--they just do a urine test just like the ones you get at the drug store. Why don't you call your regular doctor's office or a planned parenthood office and see if they'll see you. If not, ask when they recommend coming in. In the mean time, buy a bulk pack of home tests and go to town until you're sure you are or arent' preggers. Good luck!

I think the earliest test is 5 days before the expected start cycle date.... so that would be at day 23 or so depending on how or say day 27 of a 30 day cycle.
IF you are really worried.... go to the doctor around this time and tell them you need to know as soon as possible say for medication reasons... or something....

you can go and buy a pregnancy test at your nearest drug store and do it right now if you like it's been almost 2 weeks scince that night so there has been enough time for the test to tell right now it you are or not. If your still a little worried go and get you blood test done that would work just as well i do believe. hope i've helped :).

Withdrawing before ejaculation means nothing because is released in pre-c*m. Most doctors prefer you take a pregnancy test before coming in to see them. Getting a home pregnancy test will save you money too.

Try a home test. They are supposed to tell you within five days prior to your period comming up. A blood test will be the best thing
