Of the President? Yes, get elected to the Senate or House of Representative, then file articles of impeachment. Then of course you have to convince a majority of your fellow Congress people to vote that way.

Good luck with that. The Dems can't even stand by their own convictions on Iraq, and that's what they were elected on.

PLEASE READ ENTIRE MESSAGE. I KNOW IT IS LONG, BUT IT HAS MUCH USEFUL INFORMATION.

By the way, impeachment is only the legal statement or official accusation of a crime committed by a governmental official. Even if the President would be impeached, he would not be out of office. Look up the actual definition. I have several reputable sources below. I believe you are looking for the word "conviction."

How much do you really know about politics if you don't even know what a commonly used political term means?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As a well-educated person without political bias, I have thoroughly researched the topics of Bush's presidency and America's relations with the Middle East. If you do your research, you will learn that there was no crime committed worthy of impeachment. Although the War in Iraq did not work out as planned, the decision to initiate war was made on intelligence that was possessed by every country in the free world. Although Saddam did not possess a significant amount of weapons of mass destruction (WMDs) in 2003, he had a large track record of developing, owning, and selling WMDs. During the Persian Gulf War (1991), he used mustard gas and biological and chemical weapons against his own citizens. In 1993, he sent insurgents to attempt to murder former President Bush. Starting in 1998, he refused to cooperate with UN Weapons Inspectors, raising suspicion of what he was developing. In 2003, when the Coalition invaded Iraq, there were signs of recent WMD development, but not enough to support our intelligence. Anti-war, anti-Bush democrats and the excessively liberal media had a field day with this.

Most Iraqis are glad to be relieved from Saddam's tyrannical power. The few remaining Saddam loyalists (insurgents) are the problem. These are the people who are killing innocent Iraqis and military personnel.

Although I agree that America needs to get out of Iraq ASAP, this would cause a huge civil war in Iraq. Before you say "Who Cares?", let me explain how this will affect you personally. There are three primary religious groups in Iraq. If they are not governed properly, they will start a war against each other. The surrounding countries (Iran, Saudi Arabia, etc.) will inevitably get involved in the war and support who they want to win. These countries produce most of the world's oil. How much do you think the prices of oil and gasoline will increase if this event happens? You think that $3.25/gallon is a lot? How about $6.00?

After our oil trade decreases, relationships with countries in the Middle East will become sour. Taxes would be imposed on all other products that America may trade for, causing the consumer to pay more for many household goods. The world's economy will decline, which will directly impact America's economy. Cost of living will increase, inflation will occur, a large economic recession will take place.

What is preventing this catastrophe? The coalition and most of the Iraqis are working together to create a government that can take charge and prevent such a disaster.

Side note:
Also, in the past four years and three months in Iraq, there have been less American casualties than on D-Day (one day during WWII) OR the Battle of Gettysburg (three days during the American Civil War). Is this war really as deadly as many Americans believe?

Do-It-Yourself Impeachment
http://impeachforpeace.org/ImpeachNow.html
Impeach for Peace, a Minnesota-based impeachment group, has researched a method for impeaching the president using a little known and rarely used part of the Rules of the House of Representatives ("Jefferson’s Manual"). This document actually empowers individual citizens to initiate the impeachment process themselves.

Alas- you're too late. By the time you got the "ball rolling"- Bush would be leaving Office on his own. The sooner we FORGET about the "lame duck" we currently have as President- the better off we'll ALL be. :)
