YES because my mom misspelled my first name... Daniel but she spelt it Daniell (to close to Danielle) so all my professors say "danielle"... happeneds every semester.

When I was a young kid I used to dream of changing my name, for which my older brother did not like the idea. My first grade teacher did not take the time to learn how to PROPERLY say my name, so she screwed up my name with something off the wall. I got to a place in my teens that I didn't want to do it, and I'm glad to have a set of three unusual names... though they do get blitzed and the like upon halfway pronunciation. So I won't be changing my real name. I did pick out a nick name for myself which I mostly go by so people won't screw up my real one.
