He is looking very good. Alonso is helping Hamilton by being a twunt and making a gaggle of errors.
Still think Hamilton is a bit overrated and spoiled to have started his career with the best car on the grid. Sato was a hero yesterday. Put Hamilton in the Super Aguri and let us compare him to reformed crash-a-holic Sato.
I think there will never be consensus with Hamilton. You either drool over him for stepping into Mclaren and leading the WDC after six-races. Or could see him as being spoiled to enter F1 without toiling with a low-level team like Senna, Schumacher, Alonso, etc . . .

Currently he seems to be very consistent and I won't be surprise if he wins the championship this year. Yes, you read that right, Lewis winning the driver's championship.
Currently Ferrari doesn't have any answer to McLaren's pace and the only threat is for Lewis is coming from Alonso, which looks to be doing not so well this season. He made so many mistakes and seems to crack under pressure being beaten by his own team mate.
Hamilton on the other hand, is a new driver, is McLaren 2nd driver and was never expected to win the championship. So, he has nothing to lose. It doesn't matter if he's beaten by Alonso, it doesn't matter if he wins the next race or crash out trying and go home empty handed. He has no pressure on him and I think that's why he'e such a compose driver, he made no mistake and he takes all the risk and push as far as he could.
Alonso on the other hand, has so much to lose he didn't even defend against Sato's overtaking.
We could very well see this guy take the championship title.

He has been an understudy at MacLaren for awhile and has the Schumacher kind of racing style; fast forward, tactical, and opportunist. He's the kind that grabs what ever is in front of him. But we don't know if he has the longevity and patience like Schumacher has; racing a car that is hard and stiff to race. And build a team around him and captured 5 titles with Ferrari. Which made him a legend in the modern era of F1. Raikkonnen also does not have the patience, so he may not stay long at Ferrari although the team is there for him. So, the chances for Hamilton to be a successful driver, might be after Schumacher, is wide open.

to all the people saying put him in a spyker and see what he can do, he would probably do extremely well. he is last years GP2 champion remember and is accustomed to winning. he was lucky to be spotted by Ron Dennis early in his career i agree with that, and yes he has got the best car underneath him, but he still has to drive that car. many a more experienced driver has put the best car of that season into a wall or the gravel trap. he has a cool head on his shoulders and he will be a force to be reckoned with for a long time to come. go Lewis Hamilton

Let's wait till he wins the season then we can go Hamilton, Hamilton, Hamilton!
He won his first race - so what? He has a good car, so he should win! Else it would be a disgrace. His real challenge is winning the world champion title from Alonso. Only then will I take my hats off to him. There's still a long way to go for him to prove himself.
In my books, the real hero yesterday was Sato! Good on ya!

I hated yesterday's race, it was a worst thing to watch, four safety car periods, Massa given a black flag, tussle between Ferrari pit crew and Mclaren's pit crew, Robert's terrific crash.. But yet Hamilton was staying confident in his place, well, he is a good driver, but what i say is its too early to chant his name....we will see in the future what this guy is having in his cockpit to show us...

he is a good driver but he is sitting in one of the best cars.i think he should be in some other team like toyota.then we can see his performance.
i am not criticising him but i think he does not deserve to be on the top with just one win.alonso and massa should be there.
ANYWAY,CANADIAN GRAND PRIX WAS BARELY A RACE WITH THE sc THRUOUT THE RACE.
