Yes, definitely a factor in who I choose to vote for, but not necessarily does it decide my vote however.

Many factors must be looked at, and weighed in political decisions. Many divorces and various infidelities would not be a plus for a candidate however in my evaluation, but rather a significant negative. Infidelity is much more of a negative on my scale than is divorce.

My question is, why should it? We are all human. We make mistakes and have to live with them. Why should they be put in the spectacle when we are not (normal American citizens). This kind of thing happens everyday in normal (non-political) people's lives. Why should we judge what they do when we can't even judge ourselves? The courts do. That is why it is the U.S. I know who you are talking about. I won't judge, and I am not politically prejudice one way or the other. I am very independent on my thinking. My deal is, have you not ever made a mistake that you would regret later, not realizing it? Same concept. We can look back and realize what we did, but that is why it is called looking back.

Best wishes!

To a point. To some degree, infedility does indicate a certain lack of character. If a politician cheats on his wife, I couldn't trust him to be loyal to his staff or other's he's made promises too.

Divorces are different, unless due to infedility or wife beating or something like that.

Their voting record is much more important to me. They aren't being elected to sainthood, they are just human beings and can make mistakes, I'm more worried about the ones that lie about their lives than the ones who have been open about it.

Not much . I worry more about how they do their job . I'd much rather have somebody that messed around , but did his job, than a great guy ( personally) that screws us in his official capacity. That said , I'd prefer somebody that's good all the way around.

rarely. they have to do something pretty bad to affect my vote.
i figure, all of them do it in general. not to say each and everyone of them, but as a whole, democrats, republicans, and independents are capable of doing bad things in marriages and relationships. history has shown all parties had black marks in this respect.

i care about what he really plans on doing and what he has shown to have done in the past to prove that is possible.

Absolutely, a politician is elected based on character and viewpoint. It should be someone trustworthy.

If a politician cannot honor their committment to their spouse I hardly think his/her committment to his/her constituents could be that reliable.

no not important, divorce is a personal issue, cheating on wife doesn't mean cheating on whole country. Bush didn't cheat on his wife but he lied to us. You see????
