I am looking for a soldier in iraq to adopt and send a care package to. Does anyone have a program or someone I can send something to? All I need is a person and an address.

I BELONG TO A FOUNDATION THAT SENDS PACKAGES TO ALL THE TIME IT IS US TROOP SUPPORT. THEY ARE BASED IN BLUE SPRINGS MO. WE DO FUNDRAISERS TO HELP WITH THE POSTAGE AND THE ITEMS THE GUYS REQUEST. THEIR WEB SIGHT IS USTROOPSUPPORT.ORG. WE DO NOT GIVE OUT SPECIFIC PEOPLE TO SEND PACKAGES TO BUT WE NEED VOLUNTEERS ALL THE TIME AND STUFF DONATED YOU CAN GET ON THERE AND LOOK AT WHAT WE DO SOME LETTERS FROM THE GUYS AND SEE WHAT YOU THINK

Why not a retired soldier: met one the other day in Evanston, IL, past 90 he is, and has a lot of stories to tell, of old times, of war -- and, he feels neglected, alone sometimes! (or, may be you add him (his likes) to the list, in addition to the young one actually out there!)

I don't know, but that sounds like fun. I'd like to do the same thing.
