my friends think the boy about to be hung [the one who starts the song] is will&elizabeth's kid....like they started the movie with a clip from the future........idk wat i think. nobody else seems to think they are the same kid.......wat do u think??

No, they are not the same boy. The boy in the beginning of the movie is listed in the cast list as "Cabin Boy" who is played by Brendyn Bell (and if you paid attention, has braces on his teeth). The boy at the end is listed as Young Will Turner and is played by Dominic Scott Kay.

I don't believe that it is a glimpse of the future. Bennet was mass hanging to get someone to 'sing the song' and call the pirate court to convene, that way he could trap and kill or manipulate all the pirate lords and control every port and all the seas. I think a boy was used to tug at the audiences' heartstrings; also a child may be the only one nieve enough or still have some spirit to actually sing.

No its not a clip from the future or Will's & Elizabeth's kid. I think his purpose might be revealed in the next movie.

I don't know.. he really looks like the same kid.. and they seem to focus on the eyes .. first scene and end scene.. not to mention, that first scene has almost nothing to do with advancing the plot.. there is not one character worth noting among the victims, there is not one point at which it explains anything.. the only thing that confuses me is the fact that you see Bennett, and when they say "they have started to sing", he says "it's about time".. *shrug*.. It seemed out of place..

I thought that they were using the same actor because so many people thought it was sad that a boy got hung. But really they just look the same, they are two different actors.

it wasn't a clip of the future, but as far as i've been able to figure out-it is the same kid from the end of the movie-they just used him twice!

It can't possibly be the future. Beckett is alive. He is told, "They've started to sing," He dies later in the movie, so it can't occur in the future.

nope. hate to say it but you're wrong. In the beginning they all start to sing right? well when everybody is singing, if you remember a soldier says "they've started to sing sir" and then BECKETT says "finally".
Beckett dies in the final battle, so that can't be the fututre.
