For me, I believe in "soul mates" and i'm kinda my own social experiment at the same time. I'm not religious, but spiritual, and also believe in fate. So, I don't rush anything or approach girls on purpose. I believe if I don't find my soul mate on earth, then maybe we'll run into each other in the afterlife. It sounds crazy, I know, but i'm a hopeless romantic and a dreamer, but a pessimist...so I always think the people have been "suckered" by nature to procreate. So in the end they just succumbed to a momentary lust, and probably don't think of being with that person for eternity, let alone till death. So, back to the question. Up to now, I have never had a girlfriend, or been intimate and will not just do the "test drive" method of finding my soul mate or have my friends fix me up with someone they know. I'm not that desperate and don't understand why people do that. Anyways, i tire of people very easily and often would rather be alone, plus i'm pretty ecclectic and it is hard to find someone like that. I don't wanna end up like those couples at restaurants who are all bored, eating and not talking. Or worse getting married and secretly having the "greener on the other side" mentality. Or on the flip side she realizing that you really dont have much in common and you break up or get divorced. You should not have a need to look at others. Whats the use, its too much grief and you'll end up hurting your kids and become broke. So no, its up to the person. It seems to me that people put more effort choosing a pair of shoes or a car than their partner.

False, I'm living without a woman just fine, but I wouldn't mind a long-term relationship. I think men get a better deal in a relationship.

It has to be false as generalities often are. There are plenty of celibate men and women.
I do think women are more self sufficient and find it easier to make close friends. Even friends with whom they can be intimate when they like without the trappings of a relationship. So in the main. Women will find it easier I think.

I have found this to be generally true. Especially if the man or woman has been married and divorced--the man will remarry if possible, the woman not so much.

True. It seems to me, that when I have a guy who "loves" me, they spend the rest of the relationship trying to change me into who they want me to be. I know my bf wouldn't last a week without me in the house. It would be filthy in a matter of hours, fast food only, and the yard would be overgrown and the animals would die because he would " forget" to feed them. Yep, men take women for granted...

False, depends on the personality of the man or woman. There are also monks and nuns, they do just fine.

I feel that to be a false statement.
Not everyone needs, or wants, somebody to be with, some people prefer to be alone.
Most of them don't like, or can't deal with, the dynamics of a romantic relationship.

False, because we're no stronger than men are and they don't need us anymore than we need them. Yes, they can't have a baby to procreate but we can't have a baby without their sperm either.
