If you're looking for goth-tinged hard rock/metal with soprano female vocals, check out The Gathering (especially their stuff from 1995-1999), Lacuna Coil, Theatre of Tragedy, The Sins of Thy Beloved, Sirenia, Tristania, Leaves' Eyes, Elis, After Forever, and so on and so forth.
