Any time someone can learn and participate for a good cause and show their civic duty, it is a must no matter what the cause is. Kudos for wanting to attemp to anyway.

Churches do it for families, cancer society, & everybody does it, why not for a teacher as long as the motives are there and the fundraiser is on the up & up. I wouldn't vote to raise funds to send them to a Paris getaway...know what I mean?

I guess that would be determined by how bad I'd want my kids to have PE which I would so, I'd help out but it's pretty pitiful that your education funds are so low. Maybe they should consider some kind of small tax increase to help with that.
