It is both. As you are discussing the system of authority of the time, feudalism, then it is the political condition you are talking about. This encompasses the international relationships of monarchies in their struggle for power. When you talk of the society that existed during such times, this is the social side. These include the stern military style governance by these kings, intermarriages of opposing royal families for diplomatic reasons, the heavy influence of the church, and also the taxation style revenue gathering of the monarchy.

Girl, I don't think you are clear in your head as to what you really want to ask so I suggest that you do some reading in Medieval History. It is really quite fascinating and enjoyable and will help you get a better understanding of that period of time. The negative outcome of royalty depends upon a lot of factors but you might say that the kings of that time considered themselves divinely appointed by God which they reasoned gave them unlimited power so I suppose you might consider that a negative result. Sadly the history of royalty is generally a history of wars, murder and usurpation.

No. I desire i replaced right into a medieval king so while human beings ceased to amuse me, i could desire to place them in a pitt with a grating and enable human beings throw despite they needed down on them. Humiliation is the thank you to circulate.

Wouldn't be political or social. It would be historical. And lots of fun, too.

You could go both ways, knights held some political power, but they were more of a social icon.
