I'm listening to James Taylor's Fire and Rain and I'm so close to tears.

Well, the last song that I listened to today that tears me up is one of the ones that always does it.

A Simple Game by the Moody Blues
As time goes by
You will see
That we're going to be free.
You and me,
We'll touch the sky,
Can you see
In your mind's eye

That we are one,
We're all the same
And life is just
A simple game?

There by your side I will be
When this crazy world is free,
Free from doubt
When it finds out
Exactly what we're meant to be,

That we are one,
We're all the same
And life is just
A simple game.

Thoughts of another day
Flashing through my head.
Thinking how life could be,
All of the things that our great men have said.

Be what we want to be,
What we deserve to be,
What we are meant to be.

As time goes by
You will see
That we're going to be free.

You and me,
We'll touch the sky,
Can you see
In your mind's eye

That we are one,
We're all the same
And life is just
A simple game?

We're gonna be free
[repeat to fade]

sung by Michael Pinder and if you haven't heard it, you should.

Welcome To The Goodtimes from the Black Crowe's 1999 album By Your Side.

It isn't really a sad song, but it took me back to a specific moment with my dad. When the CD first came out I was only 9 or 10 years old. I hadn't heard the song in years, but it took me back to a specific moment in the car with him. We were driving down the road (well, he was driving and I was just sitting there..lol) listening to the new album. I remember this song in particular because at the time I had thought to myself "What is with the jingling at the beginning? I don't like that...but, I like the rest."

I cried because I don't get to see my dad anymore. He died a few years ago from a drug overdose. He was truly a rock star...just without all the fame and money.

I often sing and play on my guitar, the song, Fire and Rain, and it is a really nice song. But the song that brings tears to my eyes, is Puff the Magic Dragon, because it reminds me of my son growing up.

The last song that made me tear up was Don't Cry Daddy by Elvis, I heard it right after my sister in law was killed in a car crash.

With a Little Help From My Friends by Joe Cocker

His voice is just so demanding of emotion, it's hard not to get weepy.
