I think it is to early to tell, there is still a learning process going on, he is in a different game but he is improving and learning the game. His numbers are a little misleading as well, his record isnt great and his ERA seems high but if you break them down he is actually having a very good year for a rookie. He is tied for 4th in the league in wins, he is 5th in the league in strikeouts, and he has a 3.14 strikeouts to walks ratio. He has only one of his loses was actually a bad game, 4 of the 5 loses he gave up less then 3 runs and in 3 of those he only gave up 2 earned runs. Realistically Dice-K could easily be 11-1 right now if the Red Sox gave him better run support. Dice-K has thrown 2 10K games so far and also a complete game. Also, watch his stuff, he has great movement and control over his pitches, I think he has been wroth the monet because he has shown the potential and he will be a great starter soon, right now he is doing just fine as well.

I am not a BoSox fan. But I think in the long run it will be worth it. He is a good pitcher and has alot of stamina. So yes I think he was worth it to Boston.

No not really I think the yanks pretty much should of left Kei Igawa with less than 10mil. Dice-K has pretty good picthes but can't place them meanwhile Kei Igawa went to the Minors!I think is wasnt worth it because they pay more than 20mil for a Japanese picther they dont even seam to watch scout him.It wasnt worth it!

Another guy that expected he wouldn't be human, I guess. Well he is human. Great pitchers are hard to come by. More time is needed to know if he was worth the money.

if you look at this year only, maybe not worth it...although, even in his loses, except 1 or 2, he still pitched pretty good, just no run support...but in the long run i think he will be worth it....and if things stay the way they are now at the end of the season, it maybe looked at as very worth it

I'd hope so....the standings are promising. As long as the Yanks don't make it into the playoffs and we get the pennant...his worth goes up!

He has pitched well, like a 3rd starter, still getting settled in AL and in USA. He will get better
