I have 2 little dogs that are treated very well, but I know when to draw the line, I think some people tend to go overboard.

Well, we don't dress up our two dogs in assorted outfits but they are both spoiled rotten in other ways. We throw them a teeny-weeny birthday bash on their birthdays. We put on music for them when we leave the house. They sleep on the couch and in our beds with us. They eat from special doggy plates and bowls. I make all their food, including the dog biscuits. Need I say more? Our dogs are loved ALMOST as much as our kids.

i cant stand it, my own mother treats her 'precious' dog better than she treats my brother and i. it makes us sick. the dog gets a steak for dinner on her birthday, me and my brother barely get a card. she will go shopping for the dog, buy those ridiculous doggy outfits, and a nice comfy pillow for the dog to sleep on, some new yummy treats, toys, stuffed animals, etc. but she hasn't bought me anything in three years. (i have moved out) its kind of pathetic, and it really hurts my feelings. she even has 'conversations' with the dog. my mom thinks she has 'interpreted' how the dog looks at her, you should see her. she takes her dog everywhere and lets her eat at the table with the family, its so gross!! people who do these sorts of things annoy me!

they need someone to treat, like a kid instead of a dog.

I know people who consider their dogs their "kids" since they don't have any, can't have any, etc.

I think they really love their dogs! There's nothing wrong with it. Whatever makes you happy.

Let me get back to you on that... it's time to get my beagle's omelette off the stove before it's ruined.

I think that's so silly. But, I guess that's better than mistreating it.
