Simply take your two-wheel-drive vehicle to the nearest used car lot and trade it in on a four-wheel drive vehicle. To do anything else will cost you more than it's worth, and possibly end up with a vehicle that's unsafe to drive.

Simple answer - you don't.

Theoretically some cars come in 2 wheel and 4 wheel drive mode. But even then you are talking about swapping most of everything beside the body.
So in general it is cheaper to buy a 4 wheel drive car.

In my Jeep Wagoner I just flip a little lever on the dash from "2" to"4" and It shifts the linkage in the transfer case to engage "4-Wheel Drive" But if you don't have that hardware in your drive train then the best alternative is to trade in what you have at a dealership and buy what you want.

you have to have another identical vehicle to do this with,or a donor truck, that's about the only way this can be done, and its a lot of work also, you,d be better off finding an 4 wheel drive ,by the time you got one done don't think you will ever want to do another one,the cost is outrageous, good luck with it.

6" wheel spacers, and tracks from front to back wheels. Would look cool too. Till you drove it, and turned the front wheels. J/K.
Basically not worth doing, unless you had access to another vehicle that was wrecked, bought dirt cheap, and you had the skills to swap needed parts.

By spending an enormous sum of money. It's been done at times but usually the cost and difficulty getting all the parts, and the mechanical skills to pull this off are not worth the effort.

It is possible but may be impractical. You will need to change the transmission, add a transfer case, then you will need a front differential geared the same as the rear. If your vehicle wasn't originally offered as a 4WD, you will have to custom make the mounts for these components and hopefully they will all fit.

It would involve a power train alteration that would be cost prohibitory (over 3-4k in most cars if even possible)...most mechanics wouldn't even touch it.
